First Aid and Ambulance

The role is to respond to accidents and emergencies as and when they arise. Once on scene you will treat and stabilise the patient using a variety of skills and equipment (upto your level training). You will asses the patient and decide what further action is required

First Aider will be qualified in either Public First Aid or First Aid at Work

First Responders will be qualified to the First Person on Scene (FPoS) basic level with a first aid certificate as above.

Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) are qualified First Person on Scene (FPoS) intermediate with a First Aid certificate and further training in Anatomy and physiology, Medical Gases, General Medical Conditions, Trauma and Moving and handling.

Emergency Medical Technitian (EMT) will be be qualified to the IHCD Ambulance Technician certificate to include emergency driving.

You will also be responsible for checking and replacing equipment ensuring it is ready to be taken to an incident at all times. You will also complete all the relevant documentation.

CVO can provide training upto Emergency Medical Responder level. EMT's are full time NHS Ambulance Techncians

You should be of good general health and be at least 18 years of age.
